Hythe Tennis Club is participating in Sainsbury's Active Kids 2011. This presents a fantastic opportunity to collect vouchers for a range of additional equipment. This is our second year collecting and we want to take full advantage of Active Kids and hope we can count on your support!  Thanks to you, in 2010 we collected 717 Vouchers, which we banked.
Sponsors 2011 Wimbledon Ballot Draw This year we want to aim

We have rules for this ballot most of which are imposed on us by the LTA. These rules are:
If you do NOT wish to enter the draw you must opt OUT of the ballot when renewing your membership – either online or by hard copy.  You need to have renewed your Tennis Club membership by 1st April to qualify for the ballot.   Members will be emailed with our allocated dates and prices and a date when the draw will take place and this information will be put on the notice board at the Club well in advance of the ballot date.
1. Only 'playing members' of the club who have rejoined by 1st April may enter the ballot and these members must also be British Tennis Members (associated with Hythe LTC) at the time of the ballot.  Each member will be required to provide their British Tennis Membership Number if their name is drawn in the ballot.  Details on British Tennis Membership can be found at http://www.lta.org.uk/britishtennismembership/

2.      Junior members are allowed to enter the ballot if they are at least 9 years old, social members are not eligible to enter. British Tennis have their own ballot for their members who are not fully paid up members of an affiliated Club.

3.      If there are multiple qualifying members of the club within the same family, they are all allowed to enter the ballot. However, if you are fortunate enough to draw more than one pair of tickets, we ask that you only accept those that you intend to use yourself.

4.      A social event at the Pavilion will be held for the draw towards the end of April.  Those present for the draw must be able to pay for their tickets on the night by either cheque or cash.  If you are not able to attend the Draw evening, you will need to appoint a proxy to whom you have given all your contact details (including your British Tennis Membership Number) and your preferences for tickets so that they may choose for you.  Those unable to attend will have 48 hours to pay, or they give their proxy the means to pay for the tickets on the night of the draw.

5.      If your name is drawn in the ballot, you will have a choice of available dates from our allocation.  This information will already have been made available to you either by e-mail or from the notice board in the Pavilion so that a decision can be made quickly on the night. It would be a good idea to bring along your diary on the night!

6.      Any member not present on the evening of the draw and having failed to ask another member to act as their proxy, will forfeit their ticket should their name be drawn.

7.      Our ticket allocation varies from year to year, but our allocation is normally quite good giving all members a reasonable chance of being lucky.
8.      All the allocated tickets are pairs in adjacent seats and for all the main 'show' courts at Wimbledon.

9.      You MUST NOT sell your tickets on to other people.  We have to provide the member's name and details to the LTA and this information is logged against that ticket.  If these tickets are found to fall into other people's hands, the club will be held responsible and future Wimbledon tickets for the club are likely to be suspended.  If you cannot use your tickets (even at the last moment), please inform a committee member and the club will endeavour to allocate them to another member.
We look forward to seeing you at the Wimbledon Draw Evening, and good luck! in the ballot
even higher so we need a big team effort. You can collect Active Kids vouchers from Sainsbury's between 09 February and 31 May. You'll receive one voucher for every £10 spent at any main Sainsbury's store or £5 spent in Sainsbury's Locals. Vouchers can be collected at petrol stations too and when you shop for groceries online. Nectar points can also be converted into vouchers, visit nectar.com for details. So please remember to collect your vouchers and donate them to us and help spread the word to friends, colleagues and neighbours that we're collecting! Every voucher is greatly appreciated, and with your help we're looking forward to a great year. Please place your vouchers in the black post box / suggestion box on the side of the shed at the Club or the Sainsbury's Active Kids box in the clubhouse.
This is our second year collecting and we want to take full advantage of Active Kids and hope we can count on your support! Thanks to you, in 2010 we collected 717 Vouchers, which we banked.  This year we want to aim even higher so we need a big team effort.
